Within the proposal of bringing a new look to contemporary Japan, JAPAN HOUSE São Paulo presents, with exclusivity, the MUJI Pop-Up Store, a temporary store of the Japanese brand renowned for translating Japanese minimalism into its products to be installed at the cultural center alongside an exhibition on the MUJI concept. This is the group’s first operation in Latin America, and it is scheduled to be open from June 19 to August 5.

Occupying 218 sqm of the ground floor of JAPAN HOUSE São Paulo, the Pop-Up Store seeks to provide a complete and exclusive experience by presenting its philosophy, which manifests itself in practical manufacturing processes that result in basic and functional products. The brand shows a simple and rational consumption style that is guided by the austerity and discretion peculiar to Japanese culture.

Store visitors will have contact with some of the classics that represent the essence of the iconic Japanese brand and will be able to visit and buy several items of stationery, decoration, and organization.

Founded in Japan in 1980, Mujirushi Ryohin, MUJI in Japanese, translates to “quality unbranded items” and offers a wide variety of quality products, including consumer goods, clothing, and food. Ever since its establishment, it has been based on three fundamental principles: Selection of materials; process simplification, and packaging. MUJI’s products are created pursuant to an extremely rational manufacturing process, they are succinct, and focus on simplicity and emptiness, encompassing everyone’s feelings and thoughts.
